Ava LeBlanc, born on May 4, 1955, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, passed away in Bloomington, Indiana, on May 23, 2025, at the age of 70. She was a wild heart and tender soul with a sense of humor that could make you blush. Behind that wit was a heart of gold.

Her greatest love was Gary, her man, her husband, her partner, her everything. Through their journey together, especially with their challenges with Alzheimer's, their love was not only visible, it was palpable, the kind that defied time and illness.

Ava will be profoundly missed by her children: Brian Perry (Melissa Wilkins), Tawnya Godar (Thomas), Sarah Perry, Heather LeBlanc (Michael Miller), Ashlie LeBlanc (Charlie Kohut-predeceased), and her beloved fur baby, Freddy.

Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Ozric, Reili, Brandon, Ben, Henry, and Morgan, and her great-grandchildren: Luella, Maddison, Avalynn, Jaxstyn, and Vera.

Ava was the second of eight children born to Helga Gorzel from Hannover, Germany, and Charles MacKay from Cape Breton Island, Canada. She leaves behind her siblings: Sue MacKay, Nancy Hadfield (Jim), Tom MacKay, Mike MacKay (Rebecca), Scott MacKay (Rita), Renata McConnell (Blair), and Cory MacKay (Lisa). Ava was predeceased by her parents, sister, Nancy Hadfield (Jim), and her nephew, Brandon McConnell.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law, Rick LeBlanc (Dar), her nieces and nephews, and her extended family in both Germany and Canada.

Untamable in life, unforgettable in memory.
