IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bridgett Renee
Vohland-Divohl
February 16, 1978 – November 26, 2025
Bridgett Renee Vohland-DiVohl, 47, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on November 26th in Lexington, Kentucky. Bridgett was born February 16th, 1978 in Greensburg, Indiana.
Bridgett was truly the brightest light, the kind of person who greeted everyone with a warm hug, a radiant smile, and a heart that made people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. She was endlessly compassionate, endlessly giving, and always made space for others to feel valued.
A beloved part of the Bloomington community, Bridgett poured her creativity and kindness into her work as the co-owner and stylist at Royale Hair Parlor. She had a natural gift for taking care of people, making sure everyone around her felt comfortable, confident, and cared for.
In addition to Bridgett's work in the salon, she gave back to the community in so many ways. A few of the organizations Bridgett was a part of include: Bloomington Pride, Local First, co-founder of Lumiere Ball – which benefited Mental Health of America Monroe County and Amethyst House, Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter, and co-founder of BloomingZone Initiative. Not only did Bridgett volunteer, but as with all her endeavors, she gave one hundred percent of herself to the cause, making her way into leadership roles within these organizations.
Bridgett was recognized by the City of Bloomington for their Emerging Leader Award in March of 2019. She was also recognized by Amethyst House as Outstanding Community Partner, the same year.
Bridgett found joy and peace in nature. She loved hiking, exploring, and traveling, finding beauty in the world the same way she brought beauty into the lives of those she loved.
She is survived by her mother, Jana Vohland; her partner, Jennifer Shriver, and Jennifer's children, Owen and Olivia; her brother, Joshua (Maddi) Vohland; and her adored nieces, Stevie, Elsie, and Lola. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry her memory forward.
Bridgett was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Chuck" Vohland; her grandparents, Eugene "Gene" and Gwenalda "Gwen" Vohland; and William "Bill" and Ruby Bachmann.
