Carolyn Sue Sims

My mother, Carolyn Sue Sims passed away on May 30th after a very short battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones.

Carolyn was born in Bloomington, IN on March 11th, 1952. She graduated from Bloomington High school in 1970. She retired from Cook Inc. after 37yrs.

Carolyn was very talented, there wasn't anything she couldn't do. She also was extremely witty & always had a come back. She loved to oil paint, read & crochet, but her favorite past time was spending time with family, especially the grandkids. She was so knowledgeable & believed knowledge is power but only if its shared. She enjoyed teaching people new things & if she didn't know something best believe she was gonna find out! She also enjoyed genealogy & had been doing extensive research since the 70's. Her famous quotes were always, "It Is What It Is", "We'll figure it out, we always do" & "If ya don't wanna know, don't ask" & she lived by those. Her kindness, generosity & loving heart touched many people, more than she realized.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jaime White, her sister, Sandy Glasscock, her grandchildren, Rileigh Sims, Karah Dean(Jake), Alysah Sims, Isaiah White, Kyla Sims, many great grandchildren who she absolutely adored & her nieces, Jessie Glasscock, Codi Glasscock(Sarah) & her great nieces

Carolyn was proceeded in death by her son, Dustin Sims, her mother & father, Elsie Reynolds & Frank Sims & her brother, Harold Sims.

There will be no arrangements at this time, but we will have a celebration of life for her at a later time.
