Debra “Debbie” Miller

Debra “Debbie” Miller, beloved mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded by the ones she loved at IU Bloomington Hospice House. She was born June 13, 1953.

Debbie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren fiercely and was the best Nana anyone could ask for. She will always be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and the way she could always make someone feel better when they were having a bad day.

Debbie was a retired cook from Indiana University. She loved cooking for others, and with Debbie around, no one ever missed a meal. She also enjoyed shopping, camping, watching television and movies with her family, word-search books in her favorite recliner, and spending hours on the phone with the people she loved. She adored her fur babies, especially her beloved pugs.

Debbie is survived by her daughters: Julie Pedro; April Miller (Tim Harmon); Kellie Miller; and Sierra (David) Catron; grandchildren, Kenny Miller (Lindsey Quimby); Stephanie (Matt) Lane; Kelsey Hatton (Brandon Roberts); Noah Tice; Joseph Miller; Carter Catron; and Charles Ramey

10 great-grandchildren.

Siblings: Sue (Jim) Weaver; Timmy Hayes; Diana (Larry) Clark; and Donna White, along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by Joseph Miller, Daisy Wright, Russell Wright, Clyde Harden, and Gary Clark.

After 31 years of waiting, Debbie is finally reunited with the love of her life, Joseph Miller. We find comfort knowing she is in Heaven, no longer hurting, and finally home with the man she loved and missed for so many years.

A memorial service celebrating Debbie’s life will be held in October 2026, with the date and details to be announced at a later time.
