Debra
Miller
Jun 13, 1953 — Sep 6, 2026
Bloomington
Debbie Miller, born June 13, 1953, beloved mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, surrounded by the ones she loved at IU Bloomington Hospice House.
Debbie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great‑grandchildren fiercely and was the best Nana anyone could ask for. She will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and the way she could brighten even the hardest days.
Debbie worked at Western Skateland for five years before beginning her long career as a cook at Indiana University, where she later retired. She loved cooking for others, and with her around, no one ever missed a meal. She enjoyed shopping, camping, watching television and movies with her family, working word‑search puzzles in her favorite recliner, and spending hours on the phone with the people she loved. She adored her fur babies, especially her beloved pugs.
Debbie is survived by her beloved children: Julie Pedro; April Miller (Tim Harmon); Kellie Miller (Christy Davis); and Sierra (David) Catron.
Grandchildren: Kenny Miller (Lindsey Quimby); Stephanie (Matt) Lane; Kelsey (Brandon) Roberts; Noah Tice; Joseph Miller; Carter Catron; and Charles Ramey; along with ten great‑grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
She is survived as well by her siblings: Sue (Jim) Weaver; Timmy Hayes; Diana (Larry) Clark; and Donna White; and by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by Joseph Miller, Daisy Wright, Russell Wright, Clyde Harden, and Gary Clark.
After 31 years of waiting, Debbie is finally reunited with the love of her life, Joseph Miller. Her family finds comfort knowing she is in Heaven, no longer hurting, and home with the man she loved and missed for so many years.
A memorial service celebrating Debbie’s life will be held in October 2026, with the date and details to be announced at a later time.
