Listen to Obituary

Greg Hill, 70, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away on 01/19/2026.

He was born on 03/15/1955 in San Diego, California to Billy Joe Hill and Annie Estelle Hill.

Greg Hill was known for his kindness and wisdom. He had a passion for collecting baseball cards and coins while also enjoying certain arts like music and drawing.

He spent his life enjoying the company of friends and family, giving out words of wisdom while those who would listen would roll their eyes and call him ‘Old School” on account of his traditional views of treating others with respect and doing your best to stay out of trouble while be compassionate to others.

Those who knew him heard countless stories about his love of baseball, football, pool, bowling and the band Haim.

Most of all he would talk about how proud he was of his children, and how he loved them with every ounce of his heart. He took every opportunity to craft an assortment of gifts for his son and daughter that were made with skill and love. Ranging from things like personal paintings to knives he forged himself.

His artistic flair did not only come in the form of his art but also his style. Greg took pride on how he presented himself publicly and was always the best dressed man in the room.

He is survived by his son, Coty Joe Hill; his daughter, Nicole Elizbeth Hill; and his daughter-in-law Shanika Renee Hill.

He was preceded in death by His father, Billy Hill; his mother, Annie Hill; his brother, Jerry Hill; and his sister, Barbara Vandebogart.

A celebration of life will be announced on a later date by his children.

Coty Hill and Nicole Hill will take Greg’s ashes to Brazil, Indiana to spread them across the place he loved on 01/31/2026.

Greg will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
