Harvey J Hier, age 79, born on August 11th, 1945, in Arizona, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer. He was the beloved son of the late Jerome and Ruth Hier.

Harvey dedicated much of his life to his work at Allison's transmission in Indianapolis, where he started at the age of 20 and continued until his early retirement at 52. He was passionate about fishing, golf, hunting, and archery.

He is survived by his son, Darnell (Trisha) Hier, and daughter, Stacy (Max) Hutchens, along with ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a great-grandson. Harvey was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Dwendlen Hier, his son Dennis Hier, and his great-grandson Bryson James.

A memorial service will be held privately for the family.
