With profound respect and heartfelt remembrance, we honor the life of Karen Lee Blacker. Karen passed away peacefully at her home in Ellettsville, IN, on July 17, 2026

Karen was a beloved daughter, cherished family member, and devoted friend. Throughout her life, Karen was known for her unwavering love and steadfast support of those closest to her. She was the proud daughter of Richard Covers and Betty Covers, a loving sister to Diane Kopczynsky, and a source of strength and inspiration to her children: Lisa Marie Covers, Kimberly Varner-Caldwell, and Robert Allen Meidell Jr.

Her legacy extends deeply into her family, with grandchildren Alyce, Ryan, Kyle, Erik, Kari, Hunter, and Dekota holding fond memories of their grandmother’s kindness and guidance. Karen’s great-grandchildren, Daniel and Wyatt, were also a bright joy in her later years.

Karen’s professional life reflected her organizational skill and steady dedication; she served as a Scanning Coordinator at Osco Drug. In this role, she was appreciated by her colleagues for her integrity and strong work ethic.

Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In each shared story and every treasured family moment, Karen’s spirit endures.

She is remembered today and always.
