Lonnie E. Knapp Sr., age 76, passed away Monday July 25th at IU Health Bloomington Hospital peacefully surrounded by family. He was born on December 7, 1945, to Paul D. Knapp and Nina D. (White) Knapp.

Lonnie was a 1963 graduate of Freedom High School and a United States Air Force veteran. He was retired from the Indiana Carpenters Union. Lonnie was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed keeping himself busy by always having an ongoing project to work on.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma D. (Garrett) Knapp whom he married on August 28th , 1968; his two sons Lonnie E. Knapp Jr. (Lisa), William D. Knapp (Adrienne); four grandsons, Corbin Knapp, Dillon Knapp, Quinn Wilson, and Lincoln Knapp; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Donna J. Knapp, and Barbara J. June.

Lonnie will be laid to rest at the White family cemetery with a private family burial to take place at a later date.
