It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Misty Renee Abel on December 2, 2024, at University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana after a 7 month battle with numerous medical issues. Born on March 30, 1977, in Bloomington, Misty brought light and love to all who knew her. She graduated from Edgewood High School in 1995 and carried the vibrant spirit of her youth into every aspect of her life.

Misty was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sue Spires; her stepfather, Gregory Spires; and her grandparents on both sides. She joins them now in heaven, embraced by God's eternal love and grace.

She is survived by her loving family: her father, Danny Truelock; her stepmother, Susan Truelock; her bonus father, Jimmy Siniard; her cherished children, Darian Brummett (Chris), Tiara Evans (Joe), Seth Evans, and Jaden Evans (Lilly); and her treasured grandchildren, Peyton, Forrest, and Brynlee. Misty is also lovingly remembered by her sister Amanda Hayes, her brother Jason Truelock, her loyal dog Niko, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Misty's life was a testament to the power of joy, resilience, and passion. She had a deep and unwavering love for her family and took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. She was the center of attention wherever she went—the life of every gathering, bringing laughter and love to all she encountered. Her vibrant personality was matched only by her enormous heart, and she never hesitated to share her warmth and generosity with anyone in need.

A celebration of Misty's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories of her love and laughter, and remember the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now in the loving care of the Lord.

Rest easy, Misty—you will be forever missed, deeply loved, and always remembered.
