Rachel Marie Griffith-Kite, 37, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away peacefully being held by her husband on May 4th 2024. She was born on March 29th 1987 in St Joseph's Hospital to Robert and Lesia Kite. She attained her GED and other certificates through the Job Corps program in Edinburgh, Indiana.

Rachel was a true warrior. She was born with Cerebral Palsy but refused to let it stop her from living a normal life. She was a survivor of domestic violence and was an outspoken and passionate advocate for women suffering from this. She was a warrior in a sense that despite all that she had been through and was going through with brain cancer, she woke up every day with the determination to fight a fight she knew she couldn't win, but determined to fight for one more day. She won her fight and was greeted with the open arms by her Heavenly Father with a well done my good and faithful servant! Her determination, peace, and faith through it all was infectious and inspired her family, and for all those that cared for her.

Rachel enjoyed spending time with her children making videos with them and for them, chasing dreams and building a life with her husband that neither one of them could imagine they would ever have, singing songs of worship to her God, and talking to, and inspiring women suffering from domestic violence on different platforms. She will be remembered for her dedication and love of her family and her faith in God that through it all she found peace and declared that "He truly is a good Father!"

Rachel is survived by her loving husband, David L. Griffith; son, Gabriel Tyler Bowers; daughters, Isabella Sophia Marie Griffith and Abigail Chloe Marie Griffith; Son, Caleb Benjamin David Griffith; Father, Robert Kite; brothers, Edward and Daniel Kite; sister, Amanda Titus-Kite; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate Rachel's life with a visitation on Saturday July 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the Spirit of Life Church 189 W. Indiana Street Martinsville, Indiana 46151. A meal for the family will follow. It was Rachel's wish for everyone to remember and celebrate her life and not the way she died.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that contributions be made to help with the educational cost for her children either in person or through GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/107d06be.
