Robert N. Ferran, 54, of Bloomington, passed away on August 3, 2022 after a courageous 7 year long battle with an incurable illness. Robert was born on April 24, 1968 in Martinsville, IN to parents, Ralph Ferran and the late Juanita Ferran.

He graduated from Bloomington High School North in 1986. He was a dump truck driver for Young Trucking for over 20 years, until his illness in 2015.

Robert loved his family and boxers more than anything else. On September 12, 1992, he married Debra Vest. Together, they had 3 children and 1 granddaughter. He especially loves his granddaughter, Lainey. He would always brag to anyone and everyone how she was the reason he fought so hard to stay here.

Robert leaves behind his wife of almost 30 years, Debra Ferran; his 3 children, Brittany (Michael) Axsom, Melissa (Buddy) Jones, Nicholas Ferran; and his pride and joy, his granddaughter, Lainey Grace Jones, all of Bloomington. He also leaves behind his father, Ralph Ferran of Martinsville; his father and mother in law, Ronald and Linda Hardy of Bloomington. He has several step siblings, Frank, Keith, Kevin, and Lorie, along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Robert's fur babies, Angel Bear, Bella, and Taz, will greatly miss him as well. We would also like to thank his best friends who have helped him over the years, Bobby Williams, Greg Rood, and Pat Allgood. Robert had many more friends he kept in touch with, because he seemed to know everyone.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Ferrran; stepmother, Shelia Ferran; and both sets of grandparents.

His wish was to be cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date for his family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lainey Grace's education fund.

Robert will be greatly missed, and we appreciate everyone who was there for him.
