Ronald K. Ohslund, 84, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away at Indiana University Health Hospice House on November 22, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Christopher, Allison, Kirstin and Neil; sister, Corinne; two grandchildren; niece, Jane; nephew, Al; grandniece and nephews; great grandniece.

He was born in Hamden, Connecticut, 1935, to Ambrose and Dorothea Ohslund. He attended Hopkins School and went on to Middlebury College where he sang in the Dissipated 8 singing chorus and pledged to Theta Chi Fraternity. He graduated in 1957. From there Ron attended the University of Virginia Medical School where he graduated in 1961 with an MD degree. His fourth year of medical school he joined ROTC. Ron completed his medical internship at the Naval Hospital Jacksonville, Florida. He was a career flight surgeon in the Navy for 30 years. His final assignment was Commanding Officer at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI) in Pensacola, Florida. He loved his work, his family, and his country.
