IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Keith
Stewart
February 5, 1943 – October 25, 2025
Ronald Keith Stewart, 82, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at his home on
Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was born on February 5, 1943, in Solsbury, the son of
Herbert Stewart and Margaret Hughes.
Ron graduated from Solsbury High School in 1961, where he served as Senior Class
President and played both basketball and baseball. After 35 years with Otis Elevator, he
retired at the age of 58.
He appeared twice on the Hoosier Lottery live show, and although he didn't win, luck
followed him in many other ways. Whether he was skinning fish, cleaning a deer, or
clearing a poker table, Ron lived a life full of simple joys and great fortune. Above all, he
treasured time spent with the love of his life, his children, and his grandchildren. He
enjoyed gardening, fishing, poker, and countless laughs shared with his poker buddies.
Ron is survived by his children, Brad Stewart, Penny Sanders, Shelley McPherson, and
Carrie Heifner; grandchildren, Tonya, T.J., Tony, Zach, Bonnie, Aubrey, Noelani, and
Nohea; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Stewart; parents, Herbert Stewart and
Margaret Hughes; and siblings, Larry, Jimmy, and Deloris Stewart.
