On January 1, 2025, Scott E. Jones, Sr., age 70, entered eternal rest. His wife, Bessie Mullins, was at his side. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Louise Robertson; parents, Homer and June Jones; brother, Rick Jones; uncles, Virgil Robertson and Gary Robertson; Aunt Linda Pate; and stepson Michael Daugherty II. He will be missed by his friends and family members. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Mullins; children, Scott Jones, Jr., Jeremy (Renee) Jones, Hannah Jones, and Haley (Shane) Keller; his stepchildren, Jason Daugherty, Dallas (Jordan) Mullins, and Tiffany (Justin) Shielder; siblings, Brad (Paula) Jones, Cindy (Tim) Dunbar, Anita (Jeff) Hayhow; and Aunts, Judy Robertson, and Rae Branum. Scott leaves behind several nieces/nephews and numerous grandchildren/great-grandchildren.

Scott worked as a Superintendent for over 30 years working on many highway and bridge projects, shoulder to shoulder with Bob Bowlen. At the time of his retirement, he worked for Schutt-Lookabill Company. He loved nature and the outdoors and was an avid coon hunter from an early age. He had many hunting friends across the country and looked forward to the camaraderie at the Ace Coon Hunters Club.

There will be a graveside service at Pleasant View Cemetery on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at noon.
