On January 11, 2025, Scott E. Jones, Jr., age 50, passed away at Indiana University Health Hospital. Scott was born on June 14, 1974, to parents Scott E. Jones, Sr. and Mary K. Hunter, of Bloomington, Indiana. Scotty had a big heart, and a good soul. His sarcasm and laughter filled every room he was in. He loved animals and gaming on his PC. He lived with and cared for his grandmother during her battle with Alzheimer's. Scotty was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend, and more.

He will be missed by his family and friends. Scotty is survived by his mother, Mary K. Hunter; daughters, Jade and Lily Jones; brother, Jeremy (Renee) Jones; sisters, Hannah Jones, Haley (Shane) Keller; aunt, Carolyn (Mike) Robertson; uncles, John and Danny Baker; stepfather, Kevin Hunter; and stepbrother, Justin Hunter. Scotty is also survived by his grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, and his best friend, Donald Branum. Scotty was preceded into death by his father, Scott E. Jones, Sr.., grandmother, Mary E. Koontz; grandfathers, Edgar M. Baker and Robert D. Koontz; and uncle, Kenneth Baker.
