Steven Stancombe loved life. He was skilled in carpentry, plumbing, property maintenance, and landscaping. He has worked in many different professions ranging from restaurants to auto mechanics and landscaping to property maintenance. He made a living with his hands. Steven took great pride in his work. He didn't know the word "Can't" and accomplished every project set before him. He loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. He loved animals and they loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, William Obert Stancombe; his siblings, Melvin Scott Stancombe and Nancy Lynn Stancombe. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Amy Stancombe; his children, Kailey and Zachary Stancombe; His mother, Kay (Stan) Sherfield; his brothers, Edward (Ellen) Stancombe, Bill (Gail) Stancombe; and his sister, Brenda (Ron) Jablonsky. He has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service (pitch in dinner) will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday October 22, 2022 at Flatwood Park shelter 3, in Ellettsville.
