Zachary Guy Gilliatt, age 35, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025. Born on April 21, 1990, in Bloomington, he was the beloved son of Guy Wayne Gilliatt and the late Mary Jo Gilliatt. Zachary was a cherished brother to Bobbi J Knapp and Bettina Jo Campbell, and shared a close sibling bond with his niece, Hannah Whitehead (Ivy), whom he lovingly referred to as his sister.

From an early age, Zachary displayed a deep curiosity and talent for computer science. At just 10 years old, he began building computers, sparking a lifelong passion for technology. There was little Zachary couldn't fix or repurpose when it came to tech. For a time, he ran an eBay store called Zac's Indiana Surplus Store, where he sold lab equipment and electronic surplus, combining his entrepreneurial spirit with his love for tinkering.

Zachary lived most of his life at home with his aging parents, finding comfort in family and familiar surroundings. He will be remembered not just for his brilliance with machines, but for his gentle spirit and quiet dedication to those he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Zachary is survived by his father, Guy Gilliatt, of Bloomington, two sisters, Bobbi Jo Knapp and Bettina Jo Campbell, and his niece, Hannah Whitehead (Ivy). He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gilliatt, grandparents on both sides, and his favorite aunt, Kathy Taylor.
